Full description

Blackwell, R., 2008, Great Stone Farm, South Molton, Devon, 9, 12 (Report - Assessment). SDV341108.

Later 19th century field barn located circa 70 metres to the south west of the farmhouse. The building has stone lower walls, cob upper walls and a corrugated roof. It is open to the south east, where a wooden framed later 20th century lean-to has been attached, and is in moderate condition. There are some holes in the cob wall in the northern elevation, and vegetation growing up its western corner. It is shown at the south east corner of a field called Barn Close on the Tithe Map of 1846. Other details: Figures 2, 3, 14..
