Former town house (now offices) in Silver Street. Mellow stone or brickwork are a particular Axminster feature, and this building is faced with cream mathematical tiles. Other details: Photograph.

Hey Hop House, Silver Street. Early 19th century yellow stock brick house. Slate roof with coped gable ends behind parapet with plain stone coping. Two storeys. Three bays and two left hand bays slightly recessed. Sash windows with glazing bars. Left and right three-light sashes in segmental bows with keyblock in lintels. Wide central doorway and porch with Tuscan columns supporting an entablature with broken pediment with dentil cornice and semi-circular traceried fanlight, panelled double doors and panelled reveals. To left a doorcase with panelled pilasters and entablature and segmental arched carriageway. Brick chimney stacks over gable ends. Date listed: 11th August 1950.
