Full description

Department of Environment, 1988, Talaton (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV341348.

Linhay approximately 10 metres north of Talaton Farmhouse. Late 17th - early 18th century, reroofed in the 19th century. Flemish bond brick; red pantile roof, originally thatch. Linhay faces south-east, its front hidden behind a 20th century cartshed. The linhay is open-fronted. It is Alcock's linhay type T1 with the crossbeams mortised-and-tenoned into full height front posts. The posts support the
front principals of 19th century A-frame trusses. The roof is gable-ended. Other details: LBS No. 86933.
