Full description

Department of National Heritage, 1994, Dartmouth, 29 (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV157498.

Lamp post on Bayards Hill approximately 0.4 metres to the east of the Newcomen Road embankment. Late 19th century cast-iron ornamental lamp post. Large circular plinth to moulded base under bulbous bottom section, enriched with acanthus leaves, to fluted tapering stem. 4 curving brackets to hold restored lantern with top ventilator. Included for group value.
