Full description
Watkin, H. R., 1929, The lost Chapel of Saint Clare at Hardness, Dartmouth, 219-220 (Article in Serial). SDV341199.
The parish poor house stood adjoining the boundary of 5 Clarence Terrace which belonged to the Trustees of Townstal Church lands. According to a small plan of 1769 the building ran parallel to the road and possibly extended over the site of the remaining villas. It was demolished in the middle of the 19th century.
