Fields called 'Higher Clamland' and 'Lower Clamland' (SS24801776 and SS24771763) on 1841 Tithe Apportionment and 1842 Tithe Map (plot Nos 524 and 545), the latter being within the field system 75376. 'Clam' element suggests bridge, but no watercourse shown; could refer to clay soil. Other details: 2001.
