Unknown, 1837-1842, Witheridge (Cartographic). SDV342425.
Marked as 'Pond' (252) on Tithe Map and Apportionment.
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
'Bradford Pond' marked on 1880s-1890s 25 inch Ordnance Survey map. The extent of the pond is far less than that shown on the Tithe Map, but its former size is indicated by hachuring and shows it to have silted up.

Large curving pond or lake shown on Tithe Map (252) with an embankment (253) on the south side. A small island is shown to east of centre on the north side of the pond. According to local tradition the pond was dug by Napoleonic prisoners of war but the age of the trees on the embankment suggests that it is much older.
