Cairn on Horridge Common.


Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1960, SX77NW52 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV298416.

Cairn destroyed except for fragment of western quadrant which is up to 0.6 metres high.

(Visited 25/9/1973). Cairn with north-east part removed. 8.2 metres in diameter, 0.6 metres high.

Much altered cairn, marked on Ordnance Survey maps. Its authenticity as a prehistoric cairn is questionable. It is probably a medieval clearance cairn. Has been disturbed in the past but condition now stable.
