Cairn on Horridge Common.

Tumulus [O.E.] [SX 7446 7523]. (1906 OS map).
(20/04/1960) This is a cairn which has been destroyed except for a fragment of the western quadrant which is up to 0.6 m. high. A 25" survey has been made at SX 7445 7522.

(Visited 25/9/1973). Cairn with north-east part removed. 8.2 metres in diameter, 0.6 metres high.

Much altered cairn, marked on Ordnance Survey maps. Its authenticity as a prehistoric cairn is questionable. It is probably a medieval clearance cairn. Has been disturbed in the past but condition now stable.
