Full description

Reichel, O. J., 1928 - 1938, The Hundred of Black Torrington in Early Times, 205,211,238 (Article in Monograph). SDV2105.

Blatchborough, or Blashford, was called Bristeleshorde in Domesday. It was part of the English thanes holdings. Before and after the conquest it was held by Coluin, the English reeve. In 1241 Testa de Devil it was held by Robert de St. Denis.
