Fifteen coins were found during metal detecting behind the ruins of a cottage and around the bridle path leading up and adjacent to the former settlement on Horner Hill. Most were 20th century but a George III penny of 1797 and halfpennies of 1806 and 1884 were also found.

Fifteen modern coins found during metal detecting behind the ruins of a cottage and around the bridle path leading up and adjacent to the settlement on Horner Hill. Most were 20th century but a George III penny of 1797 and halfpennies of 1806 and 1884 were also found.

A list of the coins found in June 2009 is given, the earliest of which is a George III penny dated 1797. Most, however, date to the 1970s.
