Full description

Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.

'Three Oaks' shown on 19th century map as a large irregular shaped building on the northeast corner of the road junction. Several small buildings are shown around the farmhouse within an irregular shaped enclosure. A 'Smithy' is shown adjoining to the east.

Two additional small buildings are shown on the ealry 20th century map in the field to the north of Three Oaks farmstead and three additional small buildings are shown in the field to the east of the 'Smithy'..

Three Oaks Farm was not shown on the surveyors' drawing of 1802-3 but is shown on a map of 1884.
