An angled field boundary is shown on 19th century map in the western of the two fields.

National Monuments Record, 2007 - 2009, National Monuments Record Index incorporating Exmoor National Park National Mapping Programme for SS63NE (National Monuments Record Database). SDV343039.

A probable Post Medieval field boundary is visible as an earthwork in a field west of Knightacott Cross, Bratton Fleming. It appears to divide an extant field into two smaller enclosures. Part of the boundary is depicted on the first edition Ordnance Survey map, suggesting that it was abandoned at approximately the same time as the map was published in 1889. However, the curvilinear form of the bank indicates a Medieval or early Post Medieval date is also a possibility. Other details: Monument Number 1489031.
