Summary

A quarry is shown on late 19th and early 20th century maps, to north-west of Crowden. Two earthwork pits, one of which corresponds with this quarry, are also visible in this location on aerial photographs of 1955 and digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2016.
