Full description

Land for the Vicarage in Dowland was negotiated in 1862. It was for a perpetual clergy continuing the edict of 1249 given by Bishop Branscombe. The building was burnt down on Good Friday of 1908. In 1913 the house was rebuilt using any remaining walls from the destroyed building. The vicarage was sold as a private residence in 1965
