Lamp standard, cast-iron on a stone base, probably 1879. Free Baroque style, on square-section pedestal with sunk panels with 4 gables and an octagonal base to the standard. Standard, stamped Geo. Smith and Co., Sun Foundry, Glasgow. Standard has heavy S-shaped scrolled brackets; anthemion decoration and a scrolly ladder rest. Tapering cylindrical lamp with conical finial. Rock Park was opened in 1879.
