Full description

Child, P., 08/04/2003, Tale Farm, Payhembury (Correspondence). SDV344415.

Large mid to late 19th century linhay with 13 bays on the south side and 8 bays on the east side, separated by a covered way. Open-fronted cattle shed with hay loft over. Brick rear and end walls with a Roman tile roof. The lower sections of the timber posts at the front have been replaced by a blockwork wall which runs the length of the two ranges. The linhay, representative of a definitive Devon farm building, is now redundant and offers some potential for conversion.
