Three sections of ditch, on a north-east to south-west alignment and measuring up to 1.5 metres wide and 0.4 metres deep, were revealed during removal of topsoil. They represent segments of a continuous boundary shown on late 19th and early 20th century maps. Part of this boundary is still shown on the early 21st century Ordnance Survey map.
