Smart, C., 2009, Archaeological Recording During an Extension to the Heathfield Integrated Waste Management Facility, Heathfield, Devon, 4-5, 8-10 (Report - Watching Brief). SDV344431.

A group of north-south aligned linear ditches, cut through a low-lying boggy area, revealed during removal of topsoil. They are possibly the fragments of two separate ditches, indicating that they were re-cut, and are associated with a series of gullies on a similar alignment. They appear to have been made to improve drainage, and contained a greater proportion of stone within their fills than others on the site. Probably of post-medieval date. Other details: Figure 3.
