Full description

Passmore, A. J., 2003, Archaeological Recording at the Former Topsham First School, Majorfield Lane, Exeter, 5 (Report - non-specific). SDV344447.

Circular brick well revealed in evaluation trench on site of Topsham First School. The well, 0.84 metres diameter, reducing to 0.6 metres within the shaft, was capped with a cast iron manhole cover and contained a lead pipe leading in from the south-west. The water table was at a depth of 4.6 metres. Other details: plate 6.
