Full description

English Heritage, 2010, Historic Houses Register (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV154869.

Knight headstone approximately 15 metres south-east of chancel of Church of St Mary. Headstone. Dated 1710 in memory of George Knight. Hamstone. Upright slab standing approximately 1.1 metre high with shaped head. The front has a reeded frame and there is a carved winged cherubs head at the top. The inscription is Roman serif upper and lower case lettering and records the death of George Knight in 1810. Date listed: 16th March 1988.
