English Heritage, 2010, Historic Houses Register (List of Blds of Arch or Historic Interest). SDV154869.

Arthur headstone approximately 11 metres south-south-east of the vestry of the Church of St Mary. Headstone. Dated probably 1779 in memory of Elizabeth Arthur. Hamstone. Upright slab standing approximately 1.1 metre high with shaped head carved with a winged cherubs head and scrolls. A panel is surrounded by a frame carved with scrolled foliage. The inscription is Roman serif upper and lower case lettering. It is very lightly incised and records the death of Elizabeth Arthur but the date is very difficult to make out. Nevertheless it looks like 1779. Date listed 16th March 1988.
