Summary

The wide linear and curvilinear features identified by geophysical survey, at the north end of the field to the west of Old Park Farm were probably the result of mole ploughing.

Full description

Haddrell, S., 2009, Pinhoe New Village, Devon, 8 (Report - Geophysical Survey). SDV344449.

Strong positive area anomalies, representing cut features of possible archaeological origin, are evident in the north of Area 6. Other details: Figures 3-6.

Cotswold Archaeology, 2010, Old Park Farm, Pinhoe, Devon. Archaeological Evaluation, 13-14 (Report - Evaluation). SDV346467.

The wide anomalies were shown on subsequent evaluation excavation to be the result of modern 'mole ploughing' (Trenches 55 and 56). No dating evidence was recovered.
