Historic farmstead, dating to at least the early-mid 19th century, based on cartographic evidence. Depicted on the Tithe Map, by the late 19th century the historic maps record the 'New Inn' on the site and this building remains an inn into modern times.

Full description
Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.
Depicted on the Tithe Map (734 on the Throwleigh apportionment; 'garden and house'). Appears not to have been an inn at this time.

Late 19th century historic map shows the 'New Inn'.

Farmstead included in survey. Visited on 09/11/2004. Photographs of the farm show the Northmore Arms and the farmbuildings to the north which appear to still be in agricultural use although in need of some repair in places.

Modern map shows the 'Northmore Arms' and farm buildings to the north which now appear to have been converted into a dwelling known as the 'Bolt Hole'.
