Summary
Farmstead dates to at least the 19th century, based on cartographic evidence. Depicted on historic maps from the 1840s Tithe Map onwards, the present layout of the farm was established by the late 19th century. Recorded in the Dartmoor Historic farmstead survey (visited in 1995).

Full description
South West Heritage Trust, 1838-1848, Digitised Tithe Maps and Transcribed Apportionments, Plot 409 (Cartographic). SDV359954.
Farmstead depicted on the Tithe Map. Dwelling shown to the north of the farm (aligned east-west), with additional building to the south-east, south and south-west.

By the later 19th century historic map, the layout of the farm has been changed, the only surviving building appears to be that to the western side of the farm (now the dwelling). Other structures have been added around south and east sides of the yard and also to the north-east of the house. Horse engine house on the southern side of the southern barn.
