The earliest definite indication of this two storey building is on the tithe map of 1841 but it may have been present as an unfinished building in 1792-3. A small furnace was present at its south-east corner by 1887. The façade, which will be retained during development, is of local stone with a buttress towards the northern end, and wooden-framed gabled oriole windows. Map object based on this Source.
