A building was also present here on the tithe map of 1841, but with structures adjoining to the north that were removed during the first half of the 20th century. All the structures may have originated as working sheds, but it may well have become the dwelling house for the foreman referred to in the 1869 sale particulars. The upper walls are of false ashlar over local stone, and there is evidence of a cellar, suggestive of a non-residential origin. The windows are not original, the hipped roof is of slate.
