Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
'Elm Grove' marked on 1880s-1890s 25 inch Ordnance Survey map. The map shows a long rectangular garden on the north side of the house with a greenhouse close to the house and other buildings along the east and north sides.

Elm Grove House was built between 1808 and 1839-1840. The Tithe Map records it as owned by trustees of the late J.M. Pidgley and occupied by John Dicker. It was demolished between 1964 and 1971 and replaced by a housing estate.
