Historic farmstead dating to at least the early 19th century, based on cartographic evidence, although may be older. Its neighbours to the north all have 16th - 17th century buildings remaining and documentary sources for Middlecott go back to Domesday. Also known on modern maps as 'Middlecot'.

Full description

Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

Depicted on the Tithe Map; 1078-9 on the Chagford apportionment ('House and yard', 'offices'). Layout of the farm shows a long rectangular farmhouse on the eastern side of the road, with a couple of ancillary buildings, and three other buildings (offices?) on the western side of the road.
