During excavations on land to the north-west of Four Cross Ways, an L-shaped pit alignment was revealed towards the south-eastern edge of the site. This may represent the sockets or postholes for timber alignments. Although the date and function is not known, the general characteristics suggest a prehistoric or Romano-British date.
