Visited on 14th May 1976. There is a low wall at the back of the turf house. The whole is oriented north-west to south-east so as to face the sun. Three granite uprights, two fallen, 6.0 metres apart.

A short distance up the slope from the peat works is a tall stone, the last standing post that once supported the roof of the Turf House where the slabs of peat were stored.
