Full description
Preece, C., 2005, A Conflict of Interests: the Fish Traps of the Taw and Torridge Estuaries, 162 (Article in Serial). SDV342251.
Coolstone weir is mentioned in a document of 1609 and depicted in a painting by Willliam Payne dated circa 1795. The fact that it is not shown on the Denham or Alldridge charts suggests that it had fallen into disuse by 1832.
