Sims, R. + Firth, E., 2009, Recording of Geotechnical Pits on Land adjacent to St. Andrew's Parish Church, Cullompton, Devon. Interim Archaeological Statement, 2 (Report - Watching Brief). SDV344631.

In Trial Pit 3 a number of large sub-angular stone blocks were exposed, possibly representing the footings of a wall. Sealed by a levelling deposit which contained a small quantity of post-medieval pottery.

In the area where buildings are shown on the 1633 map, Trial pits 1 and 7 contained no in situ archaoelogical remains, other than the footings for the exisitng churchyard boundary wall in Trial pit 1.
