Richard Marsden chest tomb about 10 metres north of the tower of the Church of St. Michael and All Angels. Chest tomb. Late 19th century. Freestone. A coped Gothic style chest tomb, the chest decorated with a carved frieze, the coped lid with a roll moulding terminating in floriated crosses. The inscription commemorates Richard Marsden, date of death partly illegible but appears to be 1860s. A nice example of an archaeological chest tomb in the Gothic style. Date listed: 27th January 1989.
