Full description
Buck, C., 2006, Gawton Mine, Devon: Archaeological Assessment, 26 (Report - Assessment). SDV344672.
There is no visible evidence for the site of the former dressing floor, mentioned in documentary sources in the mid 19th century. It would have been on the north side of the wheel pit shown on the 1867 Bedford Estates survey map. Other details: Figure 35, site 7.1.
