There are a number of small quarries distributed across the mine, usually the result of needing stone for the erection of buildings. The largest of these quarries is 5 metres high at the back wall, with a sloping floor from track level, 15 metres long, and the floor is approximately 10 metres in depth. There are large mounds of earth and stone to the south, which have had deep gouges scoured in the sides and tops by 4 x 4vehicles. Other details: Figure 36, site 26.
