The pumphouse, pigsties and adjoining yard wall were all built together on the south side of the farmyard on the west end of the farmhouse. The open fronted pumphouse is at the east end, and is rhomboid in plan due to the different alignment of the adjoining farmhouse. It contains a granite trough against the house wall, in front of a wooden post to which the pump was fixed. Other details: Plates 23-24.
