Full description
Devon County Council, 1997-2002, Buildings at Risk Survey in the Devon Part of the Blackdown Hills AONB (Un-published). SDV344048.
Late 19th-early 20th century lychgate, constructed of local chert rubble stone with freestone quoins, timber structure supporting slate roof, timber gates. Some repairs to the quoins and coping appear to have been carried out fairly recently. However, these repairs and the adjacent unrepaired stone is beginning to spall and fail. The timber structure also requires some repair. Risk level 3, poor condition. Other details: Photos.

Lychgate to the churchyard of the church of St. Nicholas. Probably late 19th/early 20th century. Local flint rubble and timber, slate roof, gabled at ends, pair of timber gates. Stone rubble coped walls support four vertical timber posts with curved struts and the slate roof, which is crowned by an ornamental iron finial. A pair of timber gates with diagonal boarding and curved struts. Date listed: 27th January 1989.
