A small pit or post hole, which can be tentatively attributed to the prehisoric period, by a small struck flake within its fill, was partially exposed in trench 28. The feature measured 0.97 metres wide and 0.4 metres deep. Its profile was a slightly irregular 'U' shape and its edges were very difuse. A single struck flake of Neolithic or Bronze Age date was recovered from the upper fill. Other details: Figures 5, 8/8.
