The only surviving structures on Dispersed Site 8 are two standard Universal Asbestos Company Ltd. Handcraft barrack type huts. Constructed of factory-made trough-shaped asbestos cement sheets, which are bolted together on site to form a seven-sided building in cross-section. No framing was required. Internal lining was normally of flexible asbestos sheets and end walls were of cement-rendered brick. As these are barrack blocks, the internal arrangement consists of an open-plan single room for 12 beds.
Although extant they are in poor condition, with end walls either missing or partly demolished. At time of survey they were used for hay storage. Other details: Sites 427 + 428.

Dick, A. M., 2010, Untitled Source (Personal Comment). SDV345189.

Although Francis lists these structures as sites 427 and 428, his grid references and comparison of his plan with Royal Air Force photography, 1999-2000 and 2006-2007 photography, suggests that they are in sites 417 and 418 on his plan.
