Summary

Robinson, S. + Corney, M., 2006, Proposed Lagoon Site at Twinyeo Farm, Kingsteignton, Devon: Results of Archaeological Evaluation by Earthwork Survey and Trial Trenching, 3, 11 (Report - Evaluation). SDV345292.

The earthwork survey identified a well defined terraceway cutting obliquely across the former river cliff. At at the foot of this it becomes a slight embankment, with traces of stone metalling and turns to the south-west towards the former footbridge shown on the 1933 Ordnance Survey map. A metalled/cobbled surface representing this trackway, also shown on the first edition Ordnance Survey map between the farmhouse and a ford across the river to the west, was present in trench 5.
