Site visited 3rd March 1993. One of two barrows close together with circa 20 metre diameter and circa 0.7 metres high. Ploughed 6 inches deep circa 5 years ago. Farmer noticed a central black ashy circular area circa 10 metres diameter on both barrows, then a ring of clay, and then another ring of stones. No evidence of ring ditch identified from aerial photographs during ploughing, or on field visit. Farmer noticed a clayey 'track' running south-west to north-east across the field to the north of the barrows.
