Full description
Buck, C., 2010, George & Charlotte Mine, Morwell, Devon: Archaeological Assessment, 29-30 (Report - Assessment). SDV345606.
A building shown on the 1867 estate maps is believed to be a powder house. This would have been used to store the fuse and gunpowder, away from general activity but not far from where it was needed, i.e. the main working adits. There is no visual evidence of this building, although the flat site on which it stood can still be seen. Other details: Figures 7-8, 18: site 6.
