Shallow shaft or possibly a lode back pit, within the older 18th century workings. It is choked at a depth of 2 metres below ground level, and is 3.8 metres square. The south, west and east sides are cut into the bedrock, whilst the north side is open into the gunnies alignment. There is no fence surrounding the feature. Other details: Figure 18: site 27.
