Berry, N., 2006, Archaeological and Historic Landscape Survey of Wembury Point and The Mewstone, Wembury, Devon, 20 (Report - Survey). SDV345992.

The rear concrete retaining wall of a terrace between two platforms is all that remains of the positions of No. 1 and No. 2 guns (4.5 inch Mk.8s) shown on the plan of the site in 1996. These lie uphill and to the north-east of the lower gun emplacements, and have been landscaped and destroyed. The terrace is rectangular, 10 metres north-south by 6 metres east-west, and has retaining walls about 1.2 metres high on the north and east sides. The north-east corner and eastern walls were painted blue/green. The terrace is approached down a flight of steps from the south-east corner of the Leach Building. No. 2 gun would have been level with the terrace on the south-west side, and No. 1 gun was on a platform immediately to the east which has been levelled. Other details: Figure 2; map; site inventory no. 033.
