Cropmarks which have formed over an infilled ditch of possible prehistoric ring ditch are visible on oblique aerial photographs of 1992, at Hayes Farm. The cropmarks are fairly poorly defined but appear visible as a circular ring ditch which measures approximately 13m in diameter. The possible ring ditch is located in an area where a large number of other such cropmarks have been recorded, including a number of other ring ditches, as well as numerous enclosures. The area forms part of an important prehistoric and Romano-British landscape and has been subject to fairly extensive aerial survey. The cropmarks of the ring ditch are not visible on other aerial photographs made available to the survey.
