Full description

Fisher, J., 1999, East Devon Conservation Area Appraisals: Gittisham, 4-5 (Report - non-specific). SDV346641.

Large cobbled area adjoining and extending well to the rear of Town farm on its western side. This is mainly constructed of chert with some vegetation allowed to grow between. It is thought to be characteristic of similar surfaces provided as yards between farmhouse and adjoining buildings which often date from the mid to late 19th century.
