Small house. Circa late 16th/early17th century, 20th century renovations. Whitewashed rendered cob and stone; thatched roof, half-hipped at left end, hipped at right end; axial stack to right of centre.
Plan: Single depth range, 2 rooms wide with a lean-to at the left end and a 19th century brick rear outshut. The house may have originated as a 2 room plan building with a heated room to the right, an unheated service room to the left. The partition between the rooms was removed in the 1970s. The unheated room to the right is probably a post 17th century addition.
Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 4 window front with a circa 19th century plank front door to right of centre with a porch hood. 20th century casement windows with diamond leaded panes.
Interior: The heated room has a large step-stopped crossbeamm and a scroll-stopped half-beam in front of the stack. 20th century steel girder on site of former partition between the unheated and heated rooms.
Roof: 2 complete side-pegged jointed cruck truss over the left end. A second truss may also have been a jointed cruck with the feet removed and the principals dressed off. The apex of each truss is not smoke-blackened.
