Summary

One of a number of hut circles associated with a possible Iron Age settlement east of Sherwell on Corndon Down. A hut circle which has a diameter of 7.0 metres with a level interior. Edge set slab in situ. Clear circle of turf covered stone standing to no more than 0.4 metres, and located at the junction of two prehistoric walls with no visible entrance.

Butler, J., 1991, Dartmoor Atlas of Antiquities: Volume One - The East, 128-9 (Monograph). SDV299725.

One of at least ten hut circles in the Sherwell prehistoric settlement, which consists of a number of fields within the reave system, many with a single hut circle built at the edge or corner.
Hut circle 7 measures approximately 5.6 meters in diameter and is located at the junction of three fields. Other details: Map 15, 1.
