Rectangular enclosure with internal hut circle south-east of Yar Tor; one of seven hut circles located on Yartor Down, at the junction of the Dartmeet to Ollsbrim and the Sherwell / Ponsworthy roads. Four of these huts are scheduled. Within the Dartmeet parallel reave system.

Enclosure and hut circle are clearly visible on the late 1940s digital aerial photography.

An interesting group of prehistoric dwellings close to the road from Dartmeet to Ollsbrim, several of which are scheduled. Hut circle 5 measures approximately 5.3 meters in diameter and lies within it’s own yard, built into a cross reave. Other details: Map 15, 2.

Part of Dartmeet coaxial field system (Northern Part) which was considered for designation as a Scheduled Ancient Monument in 2004. Other details: Site 43.

This hut circle and enclosure are built against a cross reave; the reave forms the northern wall of the enclosure, which the hut circle is set into. The enclosure appears to post-date the hut circle, which has been integrated into the enclosure walls.
