Summary

Stands where the road from Holne to Holne Bridge takes a sharp right-angled turn northwards near Gallantry Bower. A small stone, and on one side, cut in relief within a sunken panel, is the initial 'A' for Ashburton. Original route may have been on the line of the footpath from Gallantry Bower to Holne Bridge.
